U.S. Supreme Court creates impasse to Clean Power Plan

In a vote of 5-4, the Supreme Court sided with 27 states in blocking Clean Power Plan implementation until such time as the case is heard by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on whether the administration exceeded its power under the Clean Air Act.

The lower court case anticipated hearing is scheduled for 02-JUN-2016.
