Louisville and Jefferson County MSD Maintain Platinum Certification

Congratulations to the Louisville Green Management System (LGMS) on the successful completion of the LGMS eighth interim audit, which resulted in maintaining National Biosolids Partnership, Biosolids Management Program (BMP) certification.

According to the auditor, “the MSD management and all plant personnel involved in the biosolids environmental management system development should be recognized for their outstanding achievements, and the exceptional features of the Louisville Green Management System.”

The LGMS positive and proactive approach to environmental management is summarized in the “outcomes matter” section of the audit report (see attached), which states “MSD will produce Exceptional Quality (EQ) biosolids and promote beneficial use.”
