RBC 2016 Super Saver Deadline 04-MAR
The Residuals and Biosolids 2016, scheduled for April 3–6 in Milwaukee, will provide comprehensive information on how to achieve resource recovery, with topics ranging from the latest research on recovery technologies to examples of tools and approaches that support the development of resource recovery programs.
Opening General Session
Following a welcome from Mayor Tom Barrett and WEF representative Claus Homann, the Opening General Session will feature Kevin Shafer and Jeff Spence from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. Shafer will highlight the long-range planning and future vision the District has promoted, while Spence will delve into the past, presenting the history of the MMSD’s fertilizer product, Milorganite™.
Following a break, Dean Amhaus will discuss the unique Milwaukee Water Council facility and its activities. Dr. Russell Cuhel of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, School of Freshwater Sciences, will close the session with an enthusiastic presentation on the dominant water resource in Milwaukee: Lake Michigan.

CSWEA Welcomes Friends of Biosolids
Hosted by Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA), the Friends of Biosolids event will be held at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Only a couple of blocks from the convention center and conference hotel, the event will feature full access to the first floor of the museum. Highlights include the indoor butterfly garden, a humpback whale skeleton, and the recently refurbished “Streets of Old Milwaukee.” The cost to attend is only $25, which includes admission to the museum, heavy appetizers, and beer. There will also be a cash bar. Register to attend.
