East Bay Municipal Utility District Maintains Platinum Certification

Congratulations to East Bay Municipal Utility District in Oakland, CA on successfully completing a third party audit to maintain Platinum Certification. DEKRA Certification, Inc. (DEKRA) conducted an independent audit of the BMP being used by the East Bay Municipal Utility District. The audit was conducted October 23 and 24, 2013 at East Bay Municipal Utility District’s request as part of its participation in the National Biosolids Partnership Biosolids Management Program (NBP BMP). This was the second Interim Audit of the organization’s biosolids program following certification within NBP BMP in September, 2011. The East Bay Municipal Utility District Biosolids Management Program is generating positive outcomes. During the audit, DEKRA noted that the East Bay Municipal Utility District management has a good understanding of the corrective action process and uses this process effectively throughout its biosolids program. DEKRA verified that the East Bay Municipal Utility District continues to meet the expectations and requirements of the NBP BMP.
