Conference of Mayors Awards Small City Outstanding Achievement Program Award for Beneficial Biosolids Reuse Program

At the 81st Annual Conference of Mayors, Fayetteville, AR Mayor Lioneld Jordan, was recognized with the Small City Outstanding Achievement Program award for Fayetteville’s Beneficial Biosolids Reuse Program.

After the city had seen a 600 percent increase in landfill fees over a period of 6 years, the city launched their Beneficial Biosolids Reuse Program, saving the city nearly $1 million since its implementation along with reduced carbon emissions due to reductions in hauling.
