City of St. Cloud, MN Achieves Gold-Level Recognition

Congratulations to the City of St. Cloud, MN for achieving Gold-Level Recognition for the city’s Biosolids Management Program (BMP).  St. Cloud successfully passed a third party verification audit and was recommended for recognition on July 26, 2013.  The results of the verification audit show that the St. Cloud Wastewater Treatment Facility has a strong BMP.   Some of the very positive comments included:

  • Overall – St. Cloud maintains exceptionally clean and well-maintained wastewater treatment facilities
  • Best in Class
  • Facility personnel have developed the first MSDS for Biosolids observed by the auditor
  • St. Cloud has created a model template for use in capturing documentation review and revision history records
  • St. Cloud has proven to be a leader in establishing a program to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions

The audit additionally noted that “while attainment of the BMP verification goal is obviously a team effort, the hard work and dedication of Emma Larson, Chris Plautz, Erin McMahon, Brian Schoenecker must be recognized. Also, the encouragement, support and active participation of Patrick Shea, Public Services Director and Tracy Hodel, Assistant Public Utilities Director ensure the success of this program.”
