Federal Plan Requirements for SSI Final Rule published in Federal Register 29-APR-2016

The U.S. EPA published the final rule “Federal Plan Requirements for Sewage Sludge Incineration Units Constructed on or Before October 14, 2010” in the Federal Register.  The effective date of this rule is May 31, 2016.  Judicial review (SSI Under CAA section 307(b)(1))of this final rule is available only by filing a petition for review in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (the Court) by June 28, 2016.  “This action finalizes the federal plan for existing sewage sludge incineration (SSI) units. This final action implements the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) emission guidelines (EG) adopted on March 21, 2011, in states that do not have an approved state plan implementing the EG in place by the effective date of this federal plan. ”
