Biosolids Annual Reporting
Pursuant to 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 503, persons that prepare or land apply sewage sludge, persons that prepare or own a sewage sludge disposal facility, and sewage sludge incinerators are required to submit annual biosolids reports. The annual biosolids report is due February 19 of each year.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) consolidated its biosolids enforcement function to the Agency’s Region 7 office in Lenexa, Kansas.
According to EPA, “the Biosolids Center of Excellence in Kansas City received and entered data for 2308 annual biosolids reports into the Region 7 Biosolids Database in 2014. The data entered included receipt date, quantity of biosolids produced and facility contact information (street address and mailing address).
If you have questions related to annual reports, please write to EPA Region 7: R7_Biosolids_Center@EPA.gov.”
