Wasted Food to Energy webcast

The WEF RBC Carbon Resource and Recovery Subcommittee will be hosting “Wasted Food to Energy: How Six Water Resource Recovery Facilities are Boosting Biogas Production and the Bottom Line” on Wed, Apr 15, 2015 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT

Participants will:   

  • Hear about the co-digestion practices and experiences of the six WRRFs interviewed in EPA’s Wasted Food to Energy paper
  • Learn about the types of food waste co-digested and the strategies-specifically, the tools, timing, and partnerships-employed to manage the material
  • Learn about how the facilities manage biogas and biosolids
  • Understand how the facilities funded and justified the investment
